When our family moved to Brisbane nearly 10 years ago, we were wondering why the ice cream in Italy tastes better than the gelato sold around town. So we started investigating – And to our surprise, all our sources gave the same answer.

They all said “you can’t make true Italian gelato in Australia and make a profit”. So manufacturers started cutting corners to make the process quicker, and with cheaper ingredients. The ShliX family believes people in Queensland deserve the real deal – So we were hard at work to bring things back to basics – No shortcuts, the finest ingredients, and no excuses. Over the years, some of the leading chefs have discovered us and our products, and we are proud to make frozen desserts to some of Brisbane’s most famous venues.
